A joint initiative for digital transformation in LAC

The D4R project is jointly implemented by ECLAC and GIZ, on behalf of Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Digital Bridges Berlin 2026 is the second edition of the DLAB visit programme, this year focused on productive AI applications and the digital economy ecosystem in Germany.

The regional project Digital Transformation for Regional Integration (D4R) supports regional digital integration through policy advice, capacity building, and knowledge exchange between governments.

Digital Bridges Berlin 2026

AI and the digital economy: learning from Germany

Thirteen mid-to-senior level technical and policy officials from ministries of production, economy, and digital transformation across LAC will engage directly with leading German institutions in AI research, industry associations, and the startup ecosystem, translating those insights into actionable policy back home.
